At their core, mechanical and electrical engineering aren’t that different from each other, but crossing from one to the other and reaching the higher levels? Well, that’s not something you see every day. Wayne Strydom, CTO & CIO at Virtulab pulled it off, and considering everything he’s achieved so far, we’re not the least bit surprised.
“There is only one important factor when you deal with technology – time. Technology is fluid, and evolving all the time, which is why you should always stick to the saying ‘there’s no better time than the present’ when creating the next big thing in IT.“
His switch from mechanical to electrical engineering was not one-way, though. He’s switched sides in various projects, looking to amass as much experience and knowledge as possible. He also took part in exclusive and unique bootcamps around the world, and now using all the knowledge to spearhead invention in start-ups and established enterprises as well!
